I was never a bad kid in school, I got A's and B's in all my classes, and I was never late. I really didn't have many friends because I was mocked by my classmates, the reasons for this is because of my obsession for magic, because I had a terrible cut near my mouth, and the surrounding skin of my eyes is torn off. My parents never liked me ever since my brother went missing, I'm the only one who knows what happened to him, he ran away from home, said he couldn't take living under the same roof as my parents. He was 16 at the time, and I was 14. Ever since then, my parents have been abusive towards me, they thought my brother was dead because of me, I'm not sure if that's true.... He was insane, I should've stopped him. I'll find him one day, but for now, I'll tell the rest of my story. One day my dad told me to come into the kitchen, I was hesitant, but I knew if I didn't do what he said, the results wouldn't be pretty. Once I was there, my dad was drunk, he started to go on about how I was a mistake and I was the reason my brother died, I was clearly mad, my brother isn't dead, and I was going to prove it. The fight got heated, I must've said something that sent my dad off because in a quick flash I was pinned to a wall and my dad had a knife in hand, he tried to carve out my right eye, but I broke away once he tore off most of the skin around my eye. Before my dad could catch me again, I bolted out the front door and ran to the woods, no one would find me there. My vision was blurry, my eye was bleeding, and the rain was pouring down, I couldn't see through the mixture of blood and rain blocking my vision. I wanted to stop running and rest, but I felt myself slip on something, and then I blacked out. I awoke in the morning though it was still dark, I wiped the blood and rain off my face, my whole body hurt, there was a throbbing pain in my head, I put one of my hands on my head and felt something wet, I was sure it wasn't rain since the rain had ceased when I awoke, I looked at my hand and saw blood, I wasn't surprised for some reason, I ignored it and kept walking through the thick forest, yes it was tiring, but I needed to find my brother. I was until midnight when I decided to rest under a tree, I sat down and rested my arms at my sides. I then heard the sound of breathing near me, it sounded like it was coming from under the leaves. I went to where I heard the breathing and brushed away some leaves, I was surprised to find a human there, he had blood stained on his cloths and what seems to be a stab wound on one of his arms. The male then opened his eyes and yelped once he saw me.

"Who are you?!" The guy yelled. I pinned him to the ground and covered his mouth with my hand.

"Be quiet! I don't want anyone to find me!" I whisper-yelled. The guy nodded, and I released him from my grasp.

"Who are you?" The male demanded. I sighed.

"I'm Blaine, I ran away from home." I said.

"I'm Derf!" The guy said with a toothy grin. I chuckled softly. I then went told Derf about what happened to me and that I was on a quest to find my brother.

"Well, I could help..." Derf said. I looked at him, his eyes were pleading. I sighed and said 'fine'. After that we both decided to rest under a tree and prepare for what would happen tomorrow.

It was a warm Friday, and everyone had just gotten off work and started to go home to their families or to hang out at the bar, everyone except you and your close friend, Daniel. You and Daniel meet up every Friday at 3:30 P.M. at the local coffee shop in town, close to where you live. So, you left work in a hurry and walked to the coffee shop, you didn't really need to drive to work and back because you lived near your work area so you wouldn't be late, of course! Once you got to the coffee shop you ordered two coffees, one for you and one for Daniel, you also bought a doughnut for yourself, once you had gotten the drinks and food you sat down at the table you Daniel meet at. You looked at your phone once you sat the drinks down and started to nibble on your doughnut. You noticed that it twas 3:23 P.M.

'Hmm, I guess I'm early this time.' You thought. As minutes flew by, you got lost in thought and didn't know that Daniel was walking over to you.

"H-hi Y/N!" Daniel said happily. You snapped back into reality once you heard Daniel's voice.

"Oh, hay Daniel!" You said. Daniel sat down in front of you. Once he sat down you gave him his coffee.

"Y-you didn't have to buy me coffee, Y/N." Daniel said as he grabbed the coffee cup.

"I know, but since you always buy me stuff, I wanted to return the favor." You replied before you drank some coffee. Daniel sat his coffee down on the table.  

"Yea, but still, You don't have to buy me stuff..." Daniel said. You noticed Daniel's shadow started to move a bit.

"Hiya, Y/N!" Shadow Dan exclaimed. Daniel jumped a bit, making you chuckle. 

"Hay Dan." You said with a soft smile. You looked at your phone and noticed that it was 5:09 P.M. "I've gotta go Daniel, see ya tomorrow!" You said to Daniel. You looked at Shadow Dan and said goodbye. You got to your house and saw (Y/F/N) sitting on the couch, watching cartoons.

"Hay Y/N!" They said. You looked at your roommate. 

"Hay (Y/F/N)!" You said with a smile. "Uh... Question." 

"Answer.." They responded as they looked at you. "Uhh.. Possibly?" Your friend said with a slight laugh. You chuckled softly.

"Did you wash the dishes?" You asked.

"uhh... No." Your friend said as they quickly got up to wash the dishes. "The rest of the chores are done already, so you can go to bed Y/N!" (Y/F/N) said from the kitchen.

"Kay!" You yelled and rushed to your room. Once you got to your room you changed into comfy clothes and crashed for the night.

You and Daniel have been friends for awhile, but you never knew about his shadow, that it was living. Daniel has been doing a good job at hiding Shadow Dan. And even though you didn't see him (Or acknowledge his existence) Shadow Dan still knew about you. Dan would space out at times when Daniel tried to talk to him.

"Hay uuhh... Dan? Are you ok?"

"H-huh?! O-oh! Yeah I'm fine!" Dan gave Daniel a sheepish smile. "Hay... Daniel, I need to talk to you about something..." 

"Yeah? What is it?" Daniel asked.

"W-well.... When we're around Y/N, or when I'm thinking about them.... I feel weird inside..." Dan mumbled as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Hmmm.... Well I have invited Y/N to dinner tonight, and I decided I'll let you and Y/N officially meet." Daniel announced to Dan. Dan grinned.

"I can't wait! I'll finally get to meet someone else!" Dan said excitedly. After a few minutes of preparing the food Daniel and Dan heard a knock on the door.

"I think their here!" Daniel said with a smile. Dan then changed back to Daniel's shadow because Dan wanted to surprise you. Daniel opened his apartment door, revealing you in your casual clothing because you weren't big on formal clothing.

"Hay Daniel!" You greeted.

"Y/N! Glad you could make it!" Daniel said with a smile. Daniel moved out of the way so you could walk inside the apartment.

"Nice place." You complemented. Daniel smiled softly and thanked you. You and Daniel decided to sit on the couch and talk.

"So, uh Y/N... I want you to meet someone...." Daniel said. You noticed he seemed a bit nervous, but you then directed your attention to his shadow, as his shadow slightly got taller. You saw a pair of eyes looking at you, that had a soft smile. You weren't intimated like Daniel thought you were going to be, instead you were surprised and thought it was cool that Daniel's shadow has a mind of it's own.

"Woah..." You said with a grin.

"You're not scared?" Dan asked.

"Hah! No, why would I be?" You asked. Dan shrugged and mumbled a faint 'I dunno'. 

"Well, Y/N this is Dan, and uh Dan already knows who you are..." Daniel said. You chuckled softly.

"So... Y/N, I've been getting this weird feeling around you.. I honestly don't know what's wrong with me...." Dan said. hoping you could tell him what's wrong.

"Hmm.. Has your face ever heated up or got really warm?" You asked. Dan nodded. "Ok, well has your heart rate ever been fast?" Dan then nodded again. "Well, do you think you have a crush on me~" You asked with a smirk. Dan could feel his cheeks heat up and his heart beat fast.

"W-well I-I..." Dan stuttered. 

"Heh, your stutter is really cute Dan..." You said with a grin. Daniel chuckled.

"I wish I could leave you two alone....." Daniel said shyly. You nodded.

"Ok, Dan if Daniel ever falls asleep then we could continue this." You said.

"Hay uhh Y/N, w-will you b-be....." Dan stubbled on his words a bit. You chuckled.

"Do you want me to be yours?" You asked. Dan nodded shyly. "Of course, Dan." You said with a smile. Dan grinned. You and Daniel then ate dinner and sat back down on the couch, once Daniel fell asleep, you and Dan continued to talk, sometimes you could flirt with him making him a flustered mess, although you didn't see his blush, you knew it was there.

Hay guys! I had just learned about a cancelled Dreamworks movie called Me and My Shadow, and from clips I've seen on youtube about the cancelled movie it looks amazing! But I'm sad that they had to cancel the movie, but we can change that! How you may ask?
